Rom

Hello Everybody, two weeks ago I went to Rome with my Mum. It was amazing! I always wanted to visit this city it looked so great on pictures and everybody told me Rome would be beautiful. But in real life it was better than I had ever imagine! Wherever you go you can see a little pice of history.
Sometimes you just walked through the city and then there is a pillar or one of the innumerable beautiful buildings.First we went shopping because our Hotel were very close to some cool shopping streets!
Than we also went to the street Campo di Rienzo. Someone recommended this ice cream shop to us!
And Oh yes it was amazing. I went for the flavours lemon, chocolate, and strawberry and they were so good. It was so hot that day the ice melted and melted.
In the evening we went to a Restaurant at the place campo de' Fiori
which was also very nice. But I have to say I think the best place to be in the evening is the Piazza Navona!

On our way to the restaurant we crossed this bridge and the Angel's castle next to it. |
The first thing we did on the next day after breakfast was a three hours tour in the vatican. After that I was so tired and my foot hurt so much but it was totally worth it!
After that we just walked a bit through the city.
We stopped by at the Pantheon the Fontana di Trevi and at the oldest ice cram shop in Rome!

I think the Trevi Fountain was one of the coolest things it's so huge and beautiful!!! It looks so good with the white stone and the turquoise water! |

Santa Lucia
In the evening we went to the Restaurant Santa Lucia that you might know from movie Eat Pray Love! It's near the Piazza Navona in a little street behind it. You can sit outside on a little terrace surrounded by plants and flours. The waiters were friendly and nice. The whole atmosphere was amazing it wasn't as loud as it most of the time is and I sat there on the terrace and got the total Rome-feeling. People chatting and laughing and some people on their wespas were the only ones who crossed that street. I could have spent hours there. At the place campo de'fiori I found it quite annoying because of the many waiters who stood in front of the restaurant and asked you all the time if you would like to eat something but sometimes in a quite rude way! But campo de' Fiori isn't the only place where the people do that also on on piazza Navona and other places but I think it most stood ou on campo de' Fiori! Back to Santa Lucia. The food was also amazing. I had pasta with truffles and it was so good!
So if you are in Rome it's totally worth it to go to the Restaurant Santa Lucia !!!
The next morning when woke up it was so hot!
I just jumped in my rumper and than we ate some breakfast. Our plans for today were the Colosseum and the forum romanum. First we went to the forum Romanum and it was so fascinating!

It was an art exhibition |
Now the Colosseum we had our tickets already booked on-line and that'a something you really should do also for the forum romanum! Otherwise you are going to one of the people from the other queue and they had to wait so much longer!

Now just some facts you should know!
-Do not just cross a street you could the the people there don't know what green and red is!
-To use the bus or the metro can be pretty useful
-The best places to be in the evening are at the pizza Navona or which I also really loved!!! The quarter trastevere. There is much going on the mood was pretty good at the place I was and the people there were also friendly. Trastevere is the student quarter.
I hope you enjoyed this blogpost!
